| Favorite movies | Good variety but special favorites: black and white movies - certain naivety and abstraction - and foreign movies with their different angle of view; little fun with pointless visual spectacles and violence e.g.: Seven Samurai, Closely watched trains, Chocolat, Citizen Kane, Father of a soldier, Amelie, Christmas carol (1936), Casablanca, Andrei Rublev, "M", Seventh seal, Oedipus Rex (Pasolini), Nights of Cabiria, Love film, Mephisto, etc. |
| Favorite music | Just about any kind: classic instrumental and voice, rock, reggae, jazz, ethnic; but so far I failed to find much to enjoy in rap |
| Favorite books | Reading for entertainment is OK but for me the real book (and the real movie on that same account) is where the writer wants to show how he/she thinks the World could, or could not be made better: many classic books (Crime and Punishment, War and Peace, For Now and Eternity, etc.) and poems fit in here, along with some philosophy and treatments of recent political trends and events (Monsters to Destroy, etc) |
