| Introduction | Hi! My name is Anne Merritt, and I'm currently a graduate student at St. John Fisher College. I am working towards a Master of Science in Literacy Education (Birth-Grade 12). This will allow me to become certified in New York State as a reading specialist, in addition to my current certifications in general and special education (grades 1-6) and social studies (grades 6-9) During the Spring 2013 semester, I am taking a course on Literacy Methods and will be posting reflections and progress throughout the course. On top of graduate school, I'm also a teacher assistant in a first grade classroom. I'm busy, but I'm doing what I love! |
