| Introduction | A once avid reader, a book a week was fairly conservative pre-motherhood.Then children came along, time and energy in shorter supply, I started to play it safe with my book choices. In the 62 weeks until my 40th birthday, I have set myself the challenge of reading 40 books by authors whose work is new to me. Writers whose work I've always meant to read, some classics, some contemporary, recommendations or impulsive choices. The only rule is that they have to me new to me. |
