| Introduction | Hello. My name is Flame and I’m a guide dog. I have a very important job, I assist my dad Justin. I help with his everyday life. He can’t see that well so I show him the way. I love my job as I REALLY love walking! OK. There is one real important message I’d like to share. With a guide dog there is an etiquette to follow. When I am working I wear a harness, and like a police officer in uniform, I am on duty while wearing it. When on duty it is important never to touch or speak to a guide dog. Actually that rule applies to a wide variety of working dogs. Police dogs, customs dogs, dogs for the hearing impaired and so on. If you’d like to say hello to me, don’t be shy to ask my dad, he’s always willing to take me off duty if we’re not busy. I like to meet new people, especially kids! Flame :oþ |
