Introduction	Real name Dave Griffiths. Born 1959 Started playing poker in 1976. For almost all of the last 40 years poker has just been a hobby to me. Though I've been fortunate that it's been a profitable pastime. First played poker (5 & 7 card stud) at age 17. At age 18 I joined the Rainbow Casino (Birminghams oldest casino) and started playing this "new" form of poker known as "hold em". Only played cash till about 79 when I won my first tournament. Since then I have either won or done a deal in over two hundred live tournaments. I mostly play small buy in comps now but back in the day I used to play in the biggest cash games around. From 1976 - 2013 I never had a losing year but the game is so much tougher now. These days it's a struggle to win a £30 comp (especially as I haven't won an all in flip in 2 years) and the days of me beating live cash games with my eyes closed are long gone. Still if I didn't have anything to moan about what would be the point of this blog?
