IntroductionI'm a prit-near 40-year old woman with a gift for writing (or so I'm told) and plenty to say. I have a graduate degree, but have chosen to stay home and raise my children, much to the chagrin of the Linda Hirshmans of this world. My family means the world to me; I am passionate about loyalty, fidelity, and love. I don't understand people who don't care about the impact their actions have on other people. I hate violence for violence's sake, but I understand the need for war and peacekeeping in countries that don't have the privilege of liberty. I believe in God but can't find it in my conscience to get behind a religion, in spite of my Lutheran upbringing. I have made lots of money in my pre-parental profession but squandered a lot of it enjoying my youth. I live life without regret, except that I wish my grandmother could've lived long enough to meet my kids. I hope everyone will experience, at least once in their lives, the utter and abject joy that I have known because of my husband, daughter, and as of this year, my new son.

How is an ankle unlike a consequence?

Because it's a fact of life, not an effect of intentional action.
