| Introduction | I'm a husband and father of two daughters living just outside of Los Angeles. Since 1991, I've earned my living as a self-employed public relations consultant. The title of this blog, "The Pursuit of Arete," refers to the Greek idea of seeking virtue in public life, with a nod to the genius of Thomas Jefferson's Declaration of Independence.
