| Introduction | Small family trying to "homestead" 0.12 acres in the city by using square-foot gardening and dwarf fruit trees to "live off the fat of the land." In our arsenal so far: apple tree, pear tree, peach tree, walnut tree (all dwarf), a few herbs, and a pile of bricks waiting to be made into our square-foot garden. Hoping to add: chickens for eggs, meat chickens, 2 hazelnut trees, almond tree, raspberries, blueberries, cranberries, grapes, cherries, rhubarb, strawberries, asparagus, more herbs, and veggies. All on 0.12 acres. We'll see how THAT works out! |
