IntroductionThere are times in life when things happen you are not ready for, or you wish were different. That is where I was when I read a book about being happy for no reason. Sounds great,but I realized, something was missing. I have a reason to be happy. I realized, I have a lot to be thankful for. I came across quotes and articles about having an attitude of gratitude. In the articles it mentioned the positive benefits of gratitude. I realized I needed to put it into action. So I challenged myself to start a gratitude journal. I would list 5 things I was grateful for each day. Journaling was not something that came natural for me so I’d do it awhile and then stop. The New Year was coming. I decided to commit to doing it every day for one year. It is amazing how this little exercise has brightened more than a few of my days! It gets easier every day. If anything I say can be an encouragement to someone else, it is a double blessing. My personal posts on this blog are from my heart and for the purpose of encouraging and uplifting others. If I have used other sources I have tried to accurately give credit to the author. What I blog is copyrighted.
