Introduction | My garden is on about a 1/5 acre in zone 8a. I am trying to recreate the magical place that was my grandfather's garden and orchard. As a child many hours were spent in his back yard where we kids could be found picking and eating fruit fresh off the tree or vine, and picking flowers. Once tasted, fresh fruit off the tree is never forgotten, nothing in the store or stands compare. The smell and taste of concord grapes takes me back to those fun times. My garden started with a few beds and grapes and blossomed to a small urban orchard, 30 garden beds, and rapberries, blue berries, currants, gooseberries, mulberries and more. I enjoy gardening, seed trading, cooking, travel, camping, fishing and surfing the internet. I enjoy working with the new (old world) food revolution. |
