| Introduction | Suzanne and Tom List started our adventure on "Begone" in December 2010 after purchasing her from our dear friends who cruised her in Mexico after completing her major restoration in 2005. We spent the winter months in Mexico sailing her in the Sea of Cortez, and over to the mainland to La Cruz, Puerto Vallarta, San Blas and Mazatlan, Mexico. In 2015, Tom, Suzanne and their friend/neighbor Vicky Oswald, sailed Begone from San Carlos-La Paz, MX over to Hawaii and then to the Pacific Northwest. We sailed her home to the San Francisco Bay after this 6 month, 6300 mile adventure! About the boat: "Begone" is a 37' steel hull sloop designed and originally built in 1961 in Holland by Frans Maas for the Fastnet Race. She underwent a major restoration in 2005 and has proven to be a wonderful cruising boat! |
