Introduction My life is full with a small child, a large kitchen, and many mountains to climb. I love to run and bike and read. I enjoy working with my hands on anything from needlepoint to refinishing furniture. And I love to write to remember the beauty of my days.
Interests Running, reading, quilting, learning, being outside, listening to NPR podcasts, and being with those I love.
Favorite Music Over the Rhine, Elton John, U2, Mozart's Requiem Mass in D Minor, and old hymns.
Favorite Books The Brothers K (Duncan), A Prayer for Owen Meany (Irving), Frankenstein (Shelley), The Good Earth (Buck), We Were the Mulvaneys (Oates), What is the What (Eggers), The Death of Ivan Illych (Tolstoy), and far too many more to list.

Sponges and tongues are frequently misspelled. Is it because both are thirsty?

Yes. I can't think very clearly when I'm thirsty, or hungry, or tired. Good spelling does not come from such conditions.
