Why does the taste of pennies remind you of losing a tooth?

Okay....interesting question....why does the taste of pennies remind you of losing a tooth? That would be because blood typically tastes like pennies so....when you lose a tooth, you taste blood, ere go, sense memory would bring losing a tooth to mind when you put a penny in your mouth. A better question, though, is why the hell are you tasting pennies in the first place??!
