Introduction For my day job over the past ten years, I’ve managed small slices of big web sites for even bigger companies, which basically means I spend my day sending e-mails and going to meetings. Prior to this life, I scribbled for a living. I published over 50 book reviews with "The Seattle Times," including my thoughts on novels by Ursula K. Le Guin, Neil Gaiman, and China Miéville. I also penned tomes on fun stuff like banking and taxes. The most notable project during this stint is the book I ghostwrote for a "longevity expert" who died before the book was published, though I did still get paid.
