About me

Introduction	My name is Ruth Brookes welcome to my travel blog. My husband John and I fell in love with boating on honeymoon in 2013 as we had a 2 week narrowboat holiday. We bought Prairie later that year and in 2014 had a great adventure bringing her back to Pewsey from Tamworth. This was quite an epic voyage as there was flooding on the Thames and on the river Kennet and we were stranded at Reading for a week. It didn't put us off however and now we want to travel as much as possible around the interconnecting canals in the U.K. We will be taking our dog Dex with us on this adventure, he's our prairie dog!
