| Introduction | My IT career started in 1993 as an Oracle DBA/UNIX System Administrator. In 2000, I began my work with oracle Applications. Being an Oracle APPS DBA is a challenge. An APPS DBA is responsible for the Oracle RDBMS plus all of the additional technology stack components of the Oracle ERP Suite. It was the challenge of administering this complex enviornment that launched my interest in the Oracle User community. I am an active member of the oracle Applications User Group (OAUG). After giving my first presentation at Connection Point 2004 in Orlando, I founded the OAUG Oracle EBS Applications Technology SIG. I enjoy sharing experiences, knowledge, and Oracle APPS DBA stories with other APPS DBAs; hence my participation in the user community. |
