Introduction While still in Elementary School in Detroit I had an art teacher who exposed us to many forms of art. We learned how to create Old English letters, from scratch and how to do basic layout work. We were exposed to Mosaics, Metal Etching, Drawing and even Metal embossing (copper foil). She was very critical of our work. Creativity would have to come later. This was a Roman Catholic parochial school. She was a nun, of the Servitor order and rarely (if ever) smiled. Nonetheless, we learned plenty from her. I forgot art for many years after, largely because I thought nothing I did was quite good enough. It was certainly not as good as Bob A... He could draw ANYthing with ease. Art was something I rarely revisited until I was in my 40's when I dabbled in wood-crafting, which led to other forms of art. I continue to dabble, never settling on any one kind of art. I just LOVE it all!
