| Introduction | Since 1968, Troop 309 has been supported by the Miller-Dofflemeyer Memorial Foundation, who donated the "Scout Shack" to us. Since then we have been receiving support from the Lions Club as our chartered organization, which in tandem with the Boy & Girls Scouts of America has been upholding the ideals of our community, meeting humanitarian needs, encouraging peace and further promoting international understanding for our community. Since then the foundation has grown, and further extended support to 4-H, and other youth-related organizations in our community whom are now able to call the Miller-Dofflemyer building as their home, their long-standing honor, beliefs, and legacy being passed on to our youth to provide a bright and positive future in our area. |
