| Introduction | Lady Go Red is me, Beth - a London based milliner, designer-maker, and scavenger.... I make in order to occupy my restless hands and I came to millinery through an interest in historical fashion and a desire to create things that are pretty! I have studied milinery at both the London College of Fashion and Kensington & Chelsea college, and interned at Philip Treacy. My work is characterised by a keen attention to detail and I am equally at home working in felt, straw or fabric. I am interested in the traditional processes of the millinery, and incorporate both period styling and reference into my designs. My work is elegant and refined (I hope!), and with more than a nod to the hats of a by-gone era. This blog is about my ideas, inspirations and designs. |
