| Introduction | I'm a mother-of-three, an apprentice midwife, an occasional doula, an avid conversationalist. In my past (and, I like to think, my *future*) life, I was a mountain biking and rock climbing enthusiast. These days, I spend a lot of time scheming ways to convert my bike into a four-person vehicle (I'm almost there--just wait!), and patiently waiting for my kids to reach roughly half-my-weight so they can belay me. |
