| Introduction | I became a Christian in March 1996. Shortly afterward, I felt a specific call in my heart to become a minister of Jesus Christ. Realizing that I had blessed little idea what all a pastor did or should know, I set off for Asbury Theological Seminary in beautiful Wilmore, Kentucky, where I met my wife Jennifer. I spent a few years serving in the Free Methodist Church before coming over to the United Methodist Church. I feel a deep need for the people called United Methodists to return to their Wesleyan roots. Methodists were to be holiness people, people seeking to know God fully in their lives, people willing to submit to the authority of Christ, and people of "one book", The Bible. I do not have all the answers, but I hope that i can get us to start asking the right questions. |
