About me

Location GA, United States
Introduction I immigrated to the United States when I was 2 years old. Until 2008 I didn't realize what makes America special. I assumed the rest of the world was pretty much the same. How different could it be, right? That ended when I went to China and saw the poverty. While I was there, I lived in an apartment. The building was made entirely out of concrete. There was no insulation. No drywall, no carpet. Just Concrete. There were baseball-sized holes in the walls leading outside in case someone wanted to add an air conditioner. Worst of all, it was February, and a record freezing winter. My breath was visible in the air. The shower needed to be turned on to be heated for 30 minutes for a 5 minute warm shower. Afterward, I had to rush to get dry to keep from freezing. I started to wonder how could it be, that what I took for granted for my whole life, could be missing? I started to search for the answer to why America is different.
