| Introduction | Born into this world two days after Christmas a long time ago, I have been through a lot and have tasted both the joy and bitterness of life. Well, who hasn't? One of the scariest moment in my teenage days was receiving a letter from someone trying to recruit me to become a communist in Sarawak. It was no joke in those days. The government was actively hunting down communists and their sympathisers. And a lot of communists hiding in the jungles were killed in skirmishes with the government army. I went to Canada to pursue my Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accountancy. Again that was a long time ago. Those years spent in Canada were some of the happiest years in my life. Oh Canada, what a beautiful country! Back to the present....I am working as an accountant in peaceful laid-back Brunei Darussalam, a kingdom of hidden treasures and sprawling palaces. Come visit the Empire Hotel and be awed by its opulence and grandeur. |
