Introduction	Katherine is my name, writing is my avocation. My passions include writing about the influence geography plays upon personal development: how where one lives effects who one becomes. I am a Romantic, who yearns for mist, the cries of curlews, and the mournful moan of foghorns, all of which are pretty hard to come by while landlocked in the US Midwest. My formal education includes a BSc. in Liberal Arts (Geography major/Creative Writing minor) from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. I graduated in 2004, 12 years after I began earning my degree. My M.A. in English degree from the University of Northern Iowa remains stalled, two-thirds complete.
Interests	Geography, photography, bicycling, bird watching, people watching, traveling, exploring my current home environment.
Favorite Movies	Kate & Leopold, Pride and Prejudice, Sense & Sensibility, Ladies in Lavender, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Persuasion, Lost in Austen, North and South-based on the novel by Elizabeth Gaskell.
Favorite Music	Classical, Folk, Gregorian Chants.
