Introduction | I am a SAHM with a background in, well, many things. I am a recovering CPA. I've renovated/restored two houses, including researching how the houses would have been laid out and decorated when they were built. I incorporated the original plans for the houses into their redesign. I have studied Real Estate and am half a course away from taking the exam for my real estate license. I went to school for fashion design after leaving accounting. I love to make costumes, especially historical ones. I also love making highly tailored garments (think wedding gowns, evening gowns, corsets, and suits). In order to squeeze my creativity in between my Mom duties, I started a business making baby gifts at about the same time that my second and last son was born. I am enjoying playing with tiny clothes and blankets and other baby gear. I will still take on the occasional commission for something adult, but the time horizon for getting things done is stretched out to accommodate my main job. I used to love camping. Now I like staying in hotels near the great outdoors and visiting during the day. |

Your pajamas have duckies on them. Why did you switch from choo-choos?
Because with a new baby in my life, things are going swimmingly well - just duckie, in fact. The choo-choos were more appropriate when I was zooming around getting a million things done at the speed of light. Things are going a lot slower now, and I am enjoying it that way.
