Introduction I have been passionately recreating fashion from the past for at least 20 years now, taking part in everything from Renaissance, and Civil War reenactment to theater costuming! My favorite eras to recreate clothing in are Tudor and Elizabethan, as there is as much jewelry crafting into the clothing as there is sewing. Taking the leap to creating gowns for antique dolls and sewing in the miniature has not been a big leap for me and I find it more fulfilling as projects tend to move along faster. Whether it is for a Fashion doll or one of the Cherished French Bebes, I employ the same antique sewing techniques like cartridge pleating and smocking as were used 200 years ago. And being a stickler for the tiniest of details, I use the finest antique/vintage French Laces and fabrics still available...and those things are getting harder and much more rare to find! I also have a love of the early American Izzanah Walker dolls, and I craft these from scratch.

I will be glad to create custom gowns for you antique dolly, from your great grandma's precious china head to the antique doll collector's prize Jumeau! Contact me to discuss your needs
