| Introduction | Hi, Jesse here! Welcome to my blog. By way of introduction, I grew up on Sanibel Island, Florida and graduated from New College of Florida in 2009 with a bachelor of the arts degree in Ecology. After graduating I tried out a number of jobs and internships - from seed germination ecology in California and Florida, to cooking in Michigan, to farming in Vermont - looking for the niche that felt right. At the beginning of summer 2011, I moved to the Pioneer Valley and began working for the YMCA's Camp Norwich, an outdoor day camp in the foothills of the Berkshires, as the counselor for 7-8th grade girls. This experience reinforced my desire to teach. Now I am on the road to becoming a teacher - taking classes towards my Master's, and working as the coordinator of a before and after school program. |
