| Introduction | I am a woman who is passionate about literature, films, music, photography, painting, sketching and all forms of visual arts. But, I still have a whole lot of things to learn about them. I started with novels with Tom Sawyer then teen romance novels then Mills and Boons, Loveswept and Silhouette. Now that I am nearing my forties, I now know that there are writers like Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Laura Esquivel, Paolo Coelho, Frank McCourt, Malcolm Gladwell, Mario Puzo, Khaled Hosseini, Raimond Gaita and Bob Ong. I am a real movie buff and a music lover, too. If you want to dupe me then offer me a cinema ticket. If you want me to wash your dirty dishes and cook for you, play and talk me into music. Ironically, my ultimate escape from the stressful side of my world is watching cooking shows, following cookbooks and trying out new recipes. I love cooking as much as I love dining out. They give me relief and temporary amnesia from the real world. |
