| Introduction | Hyde Park is a condo in the Ballston area of Arlington VA, at 4141 N Henderson Road. In 1980, my parents helped me buy a studio apartment there when the building 'went condo.' The price of the 542 sq ft apartment was $29,500; it sold for $58,000 in 1987. Today ,Hyde Park studios sell go for $200,000 and 1- Bedrooms go for $308,000+. Unfortunately, my duty station now is in a horrible place called "South Florida." *** I’d love to relocate to anywhere UP NORTH .My first choice is the DC Metro area; my 2nd choice would be Cincinnati, Ohio. If I lived in Cincinnati, it would certainly be in someplace ritzy like Hyde Park or better still, in Indian Hill. ** Thanks to connections with some Old Time Pols, I have learned quite a lot over the years about Ohio (and also Florida). I enjoy reading Cincinnati.com and many other print & online publications. I was especially sorry about the closing of Scripp's Cinci Post last year.*** |
