| Introduction | I am a Ph.D. student in French at UC Davis. My area of research is 19th century French literature, with an emphasis on representations of the non-westerner. Dissertation focus is on representations of Japan and the Japanese in late 19th and early 20th century works. Additional interests include second language acquisition (SLA) and the history of Paris. When I'm not busy with research and writing, I enjoy watching Spongebob Squarepants. |
