| Introduction | I was born and raised in the Deep (very Deep) South. The hospital in which I was born to my imminently respectable middle class parents was, shortly after the birth, turned into a home for unwed mothers. As I was always of the opinion that I was not related to anyone in my family, I always told people I was illegitimate and had been adopted by these people at birth. I ended up (fast forward here) marrying an Englishman, moving to England, becoming an English lawyer, adopting two children, moving back here, divorcing the Englishman, marrying the Colonel, moving to D.C. and opening a fitness center. The divorce from the Colonel was, in every sense of the word, from hell. But, it is over and "I'm Still Standing". |
