| Introduction | Having grown up in Western North Carolina during the 70's and 80's with two sometimes three television channels and no internet, my friends and I spent a lot of time outside. We walked all over the mountains and spent a lot of time riding bikes, camping, playing in the creeks and other mischief boys will cook up. Years later I was convinced to try backpacking by some guys at work. Going on my first trip with them rekindled the love of outdoor activities I had in my youth and this has led me into my current love of hiking and backpacking. |
