| Introduction | 3 billion people live on less than $2.50 per person, per day. Since hearing this statistic my general life mission is to tangibly affect the world’s people in the most positive ways possible by innovating and using the resources and opportunities available to me. As a firm believer in human rights, I feel it is our duty as citizens of this earth to help others by giving them the means, and education necessary to lift themselves out of poverty. Microfinance, the process of giving small loans to borrowers who do not qualify for traditional loans to start small capital businesses, is a proven technique that achieves this goal. I hope you will share in my ideas, and help me affect true and lasting positive change for the world's double bottom billion. |
