Introduction	The Oglala Lakota Native Americans living at Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota U.S.A have been suffering this way for over 100 years. Traditional ceremonies and rituals which use drum rhythms were outlawed by the US Government along with their cultural identity and basic human rights. I am a drummer and I’m working with the not-for-profit registered charity ‘Lakota Aid’ to help these courageous people. Like the Lakota I want to use drums to communicate with you.
