Introduction David Jonathan Romero works in multidisciplinary arts and his photographs have been exhibited internationally and published in books such as Latex Fashion Anthology, German Publisher: Goliath, and TRANS(per)FORMING Nina Arsenault: Body of Work, Body of Art, UK publisher Intellect Press, as well as magazines in Europe, Canada and Mexico. He had produced and directed three short 16 mm films as well as a fashion show in 2001 and several art and music videos. His first solo show titled Children of God was a site-specific photo-installation in a sex club in Montréal located in The Station C building. In 2009 his work Poppers was included in the exhibition You’re too close: Body Politics, Spatial Relations. In2011 Emmis from the Poppers series was elected by N.A.S.A. for the Space Shuttle Discovery’s last mission Flight STS-133. Sent to orbit on February 24, 2011 Romero’s work often explores gender issues, sexuality, religion and cultural appropriation. He is interested in staged and narrative based photography
