| Introduction | My grandmother once said about me when I was young,"All she knows how to do is 'sew and go'". I have never proved her wrong and try to always live up to her words. I had always wanted to be a stewardess but at 5 feet tall I figured it wouldn't happen . I pretended I was 5'4'' and attended any Airline interview session that appeared in the Atlanta Journal. . An Intervier at TWA suggested I try interviewing at a Regional Carrier. A friend told me Piedmont Airlines was hiring and I applied with them. I knew nothing about them but they flew airplanes. With a can-do attitude, I teased my hair 2" thick and went to my interview...the rest is history and my dream came true. I have been lucky enough to get to fly International routes when my Regional grew into one of the finest airlines around. I get restless if I live in the same place over 2 years and I GO whenever possible...oh yeah..I still sew. |
