| Introduction | Paul Owen is a man of many words, some would say far too many words. He is rarely lost for words. He likes to write. He also likes to talk. He does not necessarily need a reply, although he would like one. He is full of opinions about a wide range of issues. There are matters about which he has no opinion. Don't ask him about soap operas for instance. He does however have strong opinions about the very existence of soap operas, especially those broadcast by our state broadcaster which laughingly calls itself a public service broadcaster. Paul Owen used to work for that broadcaster. It has gone downhill, not necessarily just because he left. |
