Introduction Back in 2008 my doctor said that I needed to exercise in order to lose weight, reduce stress, and lower my blood sugar. I was pre-diabetic and sluggish. I resisted the thought of exercising and could not be bothered. During the winter of 2009 I went for a walk on a school track. I was wondering if he could run one lap. I ran track 29 years ago so this should be a breeze. Huffing and puffing the entire way, I completed it. Never looking back, I made a life-saving decision to live healthy and strong. I lost 65 pounds, my blood sugar is under control and I'm an accomplished marathoner, running several, including Boston.
