Introduction	I'm a student, employee, and most importantly a mother. I have mostly liberal beliefs that I've arrived at through my own research and ideals. I have one very conservative view that keeps me from saying that I am a full on liberal, and that has been greatly influenced by being a mother. I voted in the 2008 presidential election, and plan to do so in the 2012 election as well. Unfortunately I have not voted on the local or state level specifically. I hope that by taking this course, I will be more informed and aware of the Texas procedures and that I can get more involved on the local and state levels.
