About me

Introduction	Everything I learned about cooking began at home, in the kitchen with my Mother, when I was very young. By her side, I learned the art of making things like my first cookies, biscuits, cake, pie crust and many of Mom's favorite Polish dishes passed on from my Grandmothers. Learning new things together made for special fun projects like our first homemade pizza, and experiementing with our first BRBQ grill. These are just a few of the events that filled our days together. Mom was my Best Friend. She taught me to sew at an early age, and backed me in all the adventures I loved and experienced in Girl Scouts. Oh yes, she taught me how to love shopping, eating out and watching movies. Whether I was singing in the choir or on stage, Mom was in the audience applauding. The one talent she possesed that did not pass on to me was her "green thumb". A backyard gardener, she learned from growing up in a family of farmers who knew how to put up vegetables and smoke meats for the winter. I have tried hard to compare to her but I can never measure up to her finese. She is with me in my memories and this brings me much happiness.
