Introduction	We are a husband and wife partnership, combining 25+ years of Rick's professional photographic experience with Ann's artistic background. Our approach to photography is a blend of illustrative, photojournalism, and traditional styles. We strive to capture moments as they happen without being obtrusive but with the thoughtfulness of anticipating the moment and creating the best possible compositions, being mindful of backgrounds and most importantly of the lighting conditions. The most important factor in photography is light, and Rick also scouts the ceremony and wedding venue locations ahead of time so we can get a sense of the light and plan for the key shots and best locations for portraiture. It's with an artistic eye that we try to capture the event as the client will want to remember it. We believe it is important to offer some of the more traditional family portraiture too, but our couples are typically more directed instead of "posed" so the images feel more natural.
