| Introduction | Have you ever thought of running for elective public office? I did for many years until trying to get elected as the state representative for Norway, West Paris, Greenwood and Waterford. Though unsuccessful in my races, (I lost twice in an attempt to unseat an entrenched and well liked opponent) it was one of the most joyful and fulfilling experiences of my life. I came very close (51%-49% and 52&-48%), managed to win three out of four towns both times (Waterford was my Waterloo) and came out of those attempts more motivated than ever to bring progressive and positive representation to the area. Now I aim to spread the word about the life-changing experience of being a candidate. I want to find and support others who will consider trying on the mantle of "aspiring politician" by seeking the opportunity to contribute to their community as an elected public official. I am specifically looking to encourage, support and recruit democrats. This website will become a depository for information about these opportunities.
