| Introduction | I began Kelly Comfort while working in ophthalmology as a photographer and certified technician. Passionate about my work, I enjoyed working in ophthalmology and particularly in retinology. One day as I explained the grueling process of macular hole recovery to my husband, he couldn't believe there wasn't something to help make the process less excruciating. I researched the existing companies providing recovery devices, even contacted one of them to see if I could get some of the equipment for the practice I worked in. What I found out was providers of the equipment were few and nobody wanted competion. Well, I love a challenge and Kelly Comfort was born. When Kelly Comfort Solutions grew to the point it needed my full time attention it was with sadness that, after 13 years, I left the work I loved so much. I miss the day to day contact with patients but I get to enjoy educating and listening to the customers I have today. My job is to provide items to help make recovery from vitrectomy more comfortable, but my passion is to help people. That I can help people who happen to have a problem in the eye, which I find SO fascinating, is just my good fortune. |
