| Introduction | This is my much avoided attempt at a blog. Because I'm paranoid, when I refer to my children I will use a number instead of their name. One is the oldest, followed by Two, followed by Three, you get the picture. I started this blog primarily to record the events that took place while we hosted the 2 cutest Ukrainian boys ever for a 2 1/2 week foreign exchange experience. (I'll refer to them as BoyOne and BoyTwo. Again, the paranoia.) Lo and behold we fell in love with them, convinced them to join our family, flew to Ukraine three different times and finally brought them home in September 2011 to be with us forever! In October 2012 our daughter was diagnosed with Central Auditory Processing Disorder, CAPD. As we learned more about CAPD, we recognized it in another daughter, and, in December 2012, had her tested for the disorder as well. December 7, 2012, she was also diagnosed. This blog chronicles our day to day experiences with life after older child foreign adoption and, now, CAPD. |
