IntroductionI'm Canadian so I love the outdoors and all things beautiful and peaceful whether in creation or by human design. I came to know Jesus Christ personally when I was twenty eight years old. Life is rich, full, and beautiful knowing Him regardless of ones circumstances of life.
InterestsI've got more interests then I've got time to ever live out. I love animals. I grew up with huskies. My dad loved them and brought our first one home on my sisters eighth birthday. When we were'nt out on camping trips my dad would go jogging with him in summer. In the winter our husky would lead our family cross country skiing down the winding frozen creek that emptied into Assiniboia River.
Favorite musicAny genre of music whose melody, lyric, or song touches my heart. I especially like worship music. Whether contemporary Christian or Hymns as long as they are sung with passion and love. Its just something God gave me when Christ saved Me. I still remember the first time I walked into that old church as a new born child of God and heard what sounded like heaven emanating from a piano. In terms of contemporary Christian music Scott Krippayne is amazing in all aspects. While Steve Bell is the best Christian folk player and the best male vocalist I've ever heard live. An amazingly genuine and beautiful sound from just an acoustic guitar and a voice. In terms of Christian country Susan Ashton has a beautiful voice. In terms of non-Christian based music I've explored many segments of the spectrum of music that is out there, and I appreciate and like many, and so I think there is not one form or style that cannot be used effectively as a viable medium for communicating God's love for us all through Jesus Christ. And thus for me the sound of a great voice is always captivating regardless of genre of music. Just as the harmonies of a skilled musician are. I guess music truly composed and or played/sung well is where my heart finds rest. Because great music that brings life or testifies to it has it's origins in God.
Favorite booksDon't have a favorite though there are a lot of excellent literary works out there. Before I came to Christ I tried a lot in search of something I could "hang my soul on". Yet it wasn't until I came to Jesus and God brought the Scriptures alive for me did I find the grace and truth that I was searching for. Therefore if a fiction or non fiction work doesn't have soul enriching truth's, or a compelling story, or some tangible insights about life or people etc. it probably won't hold my interest very long.
