| Introduction | Filip Sablik graduated in 2000 from the Maryland Institute, College of Art with a BFA in Illustration. He’s been in Baltimore for 10 years and is slowly accepting the idea that he’s a Marylander instead of a Virginian. Immediately after graduation Filip joined Diamond Comic Distributors as a Customer Service representative on the West Coast team. He then moved up to the Diamond Purchasing department, where he worked for over five additional years. During his time there he worked with publishers as varied as Dynamic Forces, Oni Press, Cartoon Books, ADV Manga, and Boom! Studios. During his time in Purchasing he was also assigned Image Comics, becoming the only Brand Manager to work with a top 4 vendor. Before leaving Diamond Filip was promoted to Assistant Manager of the Print/Comic Team. In 2006 Filip was offered the position of VP of Marketing and Sales at Top Cow and quickly accepted the exciting opportunity to move into the publishing arena. In his free time, Filip freelances as a comic illustrator and has had work published by Dynamite Entertainment, Image Comics, and Boom! Studios among others.
