| Introduction | Lisa Pixley received her BFA degree from the Wonderland School of Art (otherwise known as MECA). Where she studied painting with a giant caterpillar who was known for his complicated existential questions, such as "whOOOOo are yoUUU". She went on to study master printing with the Great and Powerful OZ (David Wolfe of Wolfe Editions). While apprenticing in the imaginary land where letterpress lives on forever. Lisa, and the friends she made along the way, had many adventures. She learned a great deal about printmaking, her values, and her home (that is like no other). Lisa now runs her own coven of printmakers in Portland, Maine. A place of magic, madness and delusions. A place where sugarplum ferries and makers of absolutely drop-dead-gorgeous prints live and thrive in happiness. |
