| Introduction | I'm still married to my high school sweetheart. I have 3 boys (4, 7, &13) This our 8th year home-schooling. It's my passion and my calling. I have a wonderful, caring, loving, supportive husband who is a fantastic father! We love animals. We have 2 dogs, 2 sugar gliders, 2 guinea pigs, a tortoise, a hermit crab & 3 fish. We have a cat who ran away from home and returned to our old house and the new family take care of her! I don't enjoy going to the mall but I love to shop at Target! I live in the desert (YES, It REALLY IS a dry heat - but don't let it fool you - IT'S DARN HOT NO MATTER HOW DRY!) so we live in the pool 4 months/and in paradise for 8 months. We have a cabin at a very high elevation (less than a 2 hour drive away) so we are blessed to retreat to it often in the summer as well. I have many wonderful friends who I spend time with through Bible studies, home school groups, or just hanging out with the kids. I am always trying to figure out ways that I can be a better wife, mom, friend, teacher, and cook. ( I buy too many books learning how to do it too!) I have no family members here. That fact is the ONLY negative thing about living here in the desert! |
| Interests | Going on dates with Keith. Going out for coffee or the movies with good friends. Playing board and card games with my kids. All forms of art - I hope to take an art class some day when my life isn't so busy. I love to spend hours learning things that relate to home schooling and parenting; internet, books, magazines, meetings etc. |
| Favorite Movies | (Don't judge me!) Pretty Woman / Dirty Dancing, (Macho movies) Gladiator / Rocky, (Movies that made me cry till I couldn't breath) Color Purple / Hope Floats (the scene where she dances with her grampa in the nursing home! sniff), (CuteZ movies) Ella Enchanted / Princess Diaries, (Favorite Chick Flix) Where the Heart Is / Notting Hill / Steel Magnolias, (Musicals) Phantom of the Opera / Mulan Rouge & of course Grease, (Not big at the box office but on my list) The Other Sister / Sliding Doors / Molly, (Favorite foreign chick flick) Muriel's Wedding, Maybe the question should have been Worst movies! ha |
| Favorite Music | Love all kinds but mostly listen to contemporary Christian music on "The Message" on XMRadio. Love oldies from the 50s/60s but LOVE to hear pop hits from the 80s. (When I hear music from Elton John or Styx I always think of my brothers. ha) |
| Favorite Books | The *Bible. The books I most often recommend are *For Women Only, *For Men Only. I will always love *Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry. |
