| Introduction | Charlie is a retired PhD organic chemist who worked for Eli Lilly in Indianapolis for 32 years. He began sailing small daysailers as a teen in Tennessee. He enjoys photography and Porsche sport cars. Sharon enjoys sewing, needlework, reading and gardening besides sailing. She worked as a scientist and then as a full-time Mom and volunteer in Indianapolis. she also served for 8 years on the Washington Township School Board. They moved to the Charleston, SC area in 2004. They have cruised up to Maine in 2006 and to the Abacos in 2007. They had planned to cruise in the Florida Keys and The Exumas last year but Sharon was fighting breast cancer for 9 months. Her fight was very successful so they can again go cruising. |
