Do you believe that forks are evolved from spoons?
It was the other way around. First we had sticks for skewering. Then we discovered food was more easily skewered with multi-pronged sticks. Voila, the fork! But forks were lousy tools for scraping brains out of skulls so the spoon was developed. This was handy as we soon used all those empty skulls to make bowls and this led to the invention of soup. We were so glad we had spoons by then.
